Ancic retires from ATP


The ATP World Tour retirement has been decided by Ancic.

Ancic tennis career was full of injury and illness, he will now turn his focus to a career in law. He called it quits after 10 years.

"It was one of the toughest decisions I ever had to make," Ancic said. "I'm only 26, but my body said I would not be able to continue on a high level."

"I was advised to either undergo surgery or go through a conservative method, but I had no guarantee with either option."

Ancic captured three titles and reached a career-high No. 7 in the world in 2006. His best-ever Grand Slam showing was a trip into the semifinals at Wimbledon in 2004.

Murray Backed By Boris Becker


To win a grand slam Andy Murray has not missed his chance and it is only a matter of time before he breaks his duck, says Boris Becker.

At the tender age of 17 at Wimbledon Becker had won his first major title, but even at the age of 23, Becker insists Murray has time on his side.

"It's the million-dollar question," Becker told Sky Sports. "I don't know when but I think he will [win a major]. He's too good not to and he's getting close now and one of these days he'll do it."

"You see the history of the game; Lendl, Agassi took a long time to win their first, so it is not unusual for a player to have a couple of tries," Becker said.

Henin unleashed irritation of retirement from tennis


Justine is in mourning because she left tennis due to a persistent elbow injury,revealed by herself.

After losing to Svetlana Kuznetsova in the at the Australian Open, seven time grand slam winner announces the retirement and that at the age of 29, it was time to hang up the racquet for good.

Henin admits she is going to struggle with life away from the court. "I regard ending my career more like a sentence that's been handed down than a decision I've made. The will is there, but physically I can't [carry on]. Now I have to mourn the end of my career.

She added: "I'm going to miss all the great feelings you have as a professional tennis player. I hope I'll pick the racquet up again one day, but more than anything I want to live a normal life."

At Wimbledon in June 2010,she first got injured and required an operation but says the injury pain was still affecting her problems six months later in Melbourne.

She added: "It got to the point that I needed 10 minutes in the morning just to get my elbow functional.”

Djokovic targets Wimbledon title


Novak Djokovic,World number three is now eyeing to win a maiden Wimbledon title and has committed to playing at the Queen's Club in preparation.

For his second Grand Slam triumph in Australian Open final,The Serb beat Andy Murray and has instantly turned his thoughts to winning on grass.

"Wimbledon is the most important tournament of the year for me," the 23-year-old, who has twice reached the semi-finals at the All England Club, told the BBC.

"The Queen's Club has got great grass courts, it's a great atmosphere with always a packed house of spectators, and you just feel good there.

"Rafa (Nadal) and I had an incredible match in the Queen's final in 2008 and it was the closest I ever got to a grass-court title.

"I really want to do well at Queen's and Wimbledon this year."
